My names Paul. I'm 42, married, UK born and bred, 4 grown up kids, two still at home.I've started this diary as it's a recognised part of a therapy regime for someone who suffers with depression - keeping a diary that is, not online blogging! I think the Americans call it journalising.

Whats The Point of this Blog?
Three months ago my business was almost there - I run two, soon to be three, internet businesses, and I was beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. All it needed was one final push and I'd be working from home full time.
With the depression aspect, I have a constant, daily battle to go to work, as one of my symptoms of depression is that I never want to go out anywhere, just stay in at home, but I am always forced to go out every day, to work or wherever, and I very rarely get a full 24 hour period where I don't have to go out.
Thats why I worked so hard, so long, every day on my business for almost 3 years - because an internet business would allow me to work, but stay at home, learning everything from scratch. Simple as that. Life was beginning to have a meaningful purpose.
What are my Businesses?
I aim to stay anominous (is that spelt right?)in this blog, so I'm not giving names or links to myself or my businesses. I run two internet marketing businesses - one I think is the worlds biggest marketing support site, and secondly, I run a safelist business, where members can promote their goods and services to each other. A safelist is, basically, a group of people on a list who agree to accept advertisement emails from other members of the group, in return for the priviledge of being able to send their own ads out. Safelist memberships can number ten of thousands of people. Its a cheap, effective way of advertising, making money and being able to work from home. If you run a business yourself, you'll be able to use my business services to build your business.
The beginning of the end?
I only have 9 members left now. Over the last few months, three major incidents have helped to almost stall the business, lose loads of members, and set me back almost 3 years.
These 3 major incidents are:
Stormpay, one of my payment processors, crashing taking, apparently, thousands of dollars with them. This, alone, shook the internet world and it took ages for people to trust on line pay processors again.
Then Paypal, the biggest on line payment processor, told me to take their payment buttons off my web site because they saw my business as spamming people, and they would not support such businesses.
Safelist members have to confirm-twice-that they wish to join a safelist. That makes them double opt-in confirmed members who agree to receive other members emails. You cannot spam confirmed members who join a group specifically to receive emails. Paypal disagree, and I've had to pull all references to them off my sites. I rarely make sales using other payment processors, people don't trust them like they do Paypal. Most members lost - at a stroke.
The final incident in the trio was due to one man, remaining nameless for the time being, deciding to switch from running safelists to email boxes without telling anyone. Result - hundreds of safelist groups gone - overnight. Including ones I owned and others I paid to access from my safelist submitter business. Hundreds of lists, thousands of members, and God knows how much money went down with him.
End Result?
A safelist business without safelists and members. New members who want to join my business cannot pay because they only trust Paypal to handle their money. Safelist submitters that cannot send ads out because the safelists have simply disappeared. Most paying members gone. I'm back to three years ago - subsidising my business from my wages.
What's a Safelist Submitter?
Safelist members can post their ads to other safelist members for free, normally once a week, by logging into each safelist, typing the ad out, clicking send, and logging out. Normally, it takes about 2-3 minutes upwards to send an ad to each safelist. The safelist script then posts that ad to each member individually.
Safelist submitters do all that-automatically, and send your ad to thousands of safelists at the same time. Safelist submitters are an amazing piece of kit, and if they work properly,and the lists exist to send the ads to, members can advertise to hundreds of thousands of people instantly by simply clicking the send button. I own one of these safelist submitters, and 20 safelist groups.
I'm luckier than most
I saw something wasn't quite right with my safelist service provider. Most of his lists would crash and go off line every weekend. I couldn't access my submitter half the time, and when I could, it kept giving me run time errors, preventing me working with it.
After I'd brought this submitter off this man, support emails were answered - for a time. Then I started getting no replies, no acknowledgements, and constant timeout from both the submitter and safelists themselves.
Eventually, I got so fed up that I set up my own server, moved the submitter across to the new server, and started my own safelist company at the same time. Then I pulled the plug on this man's abysmal service, charges & fees and cancelled my contract outright, without notice. It now costs me about $500/£350 a month to run my business.
Within a week this abnoxious scammer pulled his whole safelist business, taking most safelists and submitters with him. I don't know how many submitter owners this affected, as he is quite big, or was quite big, in this market.
The problem is, this man charged about $300-$500 to sell his submitters, and the owners then had to pay $25 monthly for hosting. From what I can see, he's just taken everything off line, after taking everyone's money. What a scam!
I hope this man makes millions of dollars
.......And still fiinds himself $20.00 short for his medical bills. What goes around, comes around. This man obviously lives in America- where everyone has to pay for their medical treatment.
Enough said, this is supposed to be a factual diary, not full of curses. But this man, above all else, has wrecked my business. Forgive me for feeling so strong about it
